What's in the Current?

See What's Moving. Understand What It Changes.

Future in the Current helps young people connect the systems they see today with the questions, challenges, ideas, and opportunities that will shape tomorrow. Understanding the present gives them a better starting point for imagining the future.

World in Motion MOVE.
Discover how goods, people, and ideas move around the world.

Young people explore the systems behind transportation and global shipping and begin to see how much of everyday life depends on a world that is constantly moving.

Our Environment CARE.
Look at how the way we move can affect the world around us.

The conversation expands beyond how systems work to how choices, transportation, industry, and environmental responsibility can influence the air, oceans, and communities we share.

New Possibilities CREATE.
Explore how new ideas can change the way old systems work.

Innovation gives young people permission to ask better questions: What could be cleaner? What could be smarter? What could be more efficient? And what has not been invented yet?

Their Future LEAD.
Help young people see themselves inside the industries shaping tomorrow.

Learning about the future should also open the door to leadership, careers, problem solving, and the realization that young people can become part of the teams creating what comes next.

Future in the Current From awareness to possibility.
When young people understand how the world works, they can start asking how they would make it work better.
Today's systems are somebody else's starting point for tomorrow's ideas.

The Next Wave

The Future Needs New Ideas. It Also Needs You.

Future in the Current is not only about understanding industries and innovation. It is also about helping young people recognize that somebody will design, lead, improve, operate, and rethink the systems of tomorrow. That somebody can be them.

Tomorrow Has Room You do not have to know your future yet to start exploring it.

Exposure creates possibilities. When young people learn how industries work, meet new ideas, and discover problems worth solving, they can begin seeing futures they may not have considered before. Curiosity can be the first step toward a career, an invention, a leadership role, or an entirely new direction.

Get Curious.

Ask how things work, why they work that way, and what would happen if somebody approached the problem differently.

Explore More.

Discover industries, technologies, careers, and opportunities you may not encounter in everyday life.

Solve Something.

Look at challenges as invitations to think, create, experiment, and imagine a better way forward.

Lead What's Next.

Recognize that the future will need people who can make decisions, work with others, adapt, and turn good ideas into real change.
